1. Royal X — 15 ml

A 15 ml herbal shot built on guarana and bitter orange, with liquorice, potassium and peppermint oil. It is the most stimulating shot in the Royal line and the one the range is best known for.

The Royal line is a set of 15 ml herbal shots built around one idea: liquid is absorbed faster than a capsule, so the onset is quicker and the response easier to judge. Each shot in the range is built on a different ingredient list, and they are not interchangeable.

One thing we will not pretend about: these are herbal stimulant capsules. They are not MDMA, they do not contain it, and they do not reproduce it. What they contain is caffeine and related compounds, amino acids and plant extracts, in quantities that are printed on the pack. Buy them for what they are.

3. What is actually in it

The ingredient list is short and every item on it does something identifiable. Worth reading, because two of them carry real cautions that the marketing language tends to skip past.

Paullinia cupana	Guarana — a Brazilian climbing plant whose seed is one of the most caffeine-dense materials in nature. This is where the stimulation comes from.
Citrus aurantium	Bitter orange, the source of synephrine. Structurally related to ephedrine and genuinely stimulating; it also raises heart rate and blood pressure, which is why the cardiovascular warnings below are not boilerplate.
Glycyrrhiza	Liquorice root. Pleasant, and worth knowing about: glycyrrhizin can raise blood pressure and lower potassium at sustained intake. One shot is not a sustained intake, but it is another reason this is not a product for anyone with hypertension.
Dextrose	Fast-absorbing sugar. Fuel, and the reason it does not taste purely of herbs.
Potassium	An electrolyte — included partly to offset what liquorice does to potassium levels.
Oleum menthae	Peppermint oil, largely for the taste and the cooling sensation.

3.1 What to expect

Users describe an energetic buzz, tingling across the body and a lifted, sociable mood, coming on around fifteen minutes in and running for three to four hours. Tingling in particular is a very commonly reported feature of this shot. What we will not tell you is that it reproduces any illegal substance, because it does not.

3.2 How to take it

Shake the bottle properly. The extract settles and an unshaken shot is not evenly dosed.
Take it an hour after a meal, not on a completely empty stomach and not straight after eating.
