1. Royal C — 15 ml
A 15 ml herbal shot aimed squarely at energy and stamina rather than mood: guarana and bitter orange with liquorice, potassium and phenylalanine. Reported to give a strong energetic push lasting around four hours — long enough for a full night out.
The Royal line is a set of 15 ml herbal shots built around one idea: liquid is absorbed faster than a capsule, so the onset is quicker and the response easier to judge. Each shot in the range is built on a different ingredient list, and they are not interchangeable.
Of the four Royal shots this is the most straightforwardly stimulant one. Where Royal X leans towards a tingling, euphoric character, Royal C is built for keeping going.

3. Reading the stack — and one warning most people miss
Everything in this bottle is doing one of three jobs: stimulating, fuelling, or balancing what the other two do.
| Ingredient | Job |
|---|---|
| Guarana (Paullinia cupana) | The caffeine source, and the main reason the shot works. Guarana seed is among the most caffeine-dense plant materials there is. |
| Citrus aurantium 6% | Bitter orange, standardised for synephrine — a stimulant that raises heart rate and blood pressure alongside the caffeine. |
| Glycyrrhiza 25% | Liquorice, at a substantial proportion of the formula. Glycyrrhizin can raise blood pressure and deplete potassium, which is exactly why the next line exists. |
| Potassium 375 mg | An electrolyte, offsetting the potassium loss liquorice can cause and supporting normal muscle function. |
| Dextrose | Fast sugar. Immediate fuel. |
| Phenylalanine | An essential amino acid and a precursor in the body’s dopamine and noradrenaline pathways. See the warning directly below. |
3.1 If you have phenylketonuria, do not take this
This shot contains phenylalanine. People with phenylketonuria (PKU) cannot metabolise it and must avoid it entirely — this is the same reason PKU warnings appear on aspartame-sweetened drinks. It is a rare condition and anyone who has it already knows, but it belongs on the page rather than buried in an ingredient list.
3.2 How to take it
- Shake the bottle properly. The extract settles and an unshaken shot is not evenly dosed.
- Take it an hour after a meal, not on a completely empty stomach and not straight after eating.
- Drink half first and wait. This is the whole reason a 15 ml bottle is a sensible format — you get to see how you respond before committing to the rest.
- Follow it with a glass of water, and keep drinking water through the evening.
| Quantity | Commonly described as |
|---|---|
| Under 5 ml | Mild |
| Around 10 ml | Moderate |
| 10 to 15 ml | Strong — the top of the stated range |
| The full 15 ml bottle | The stated maximum for one occasion |
4. Cautions
- You must be over 18 to buy or use this.
- This is a supplement, not a meal, and the stated maximum is a maximum.
- Never take it alongside prescription medication or another stimulant, energy drinks and coffee included.
- Absolutely not with MAO inhibitors.
- Avoid entirely if you have heart problems, blood pressure that is too high or too low, a thyroid or kidney condition, or if you take anything for depression or anxiety.
- Not for use in pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
- Be careful with alcohol — stimulants hide its effects rather than cancelling them.
- Heat and dehydration are the real risk on a dance floor. Drink water steadily and step outside now and then.
- Store out of reach of children.
- Contains phenylalanine — not suitable for anyone with phenylketonuria (PKU).
Four hours of stimulant on a hot dance floor is four hours of fluid loss. Water is not an afterthought here.
- A 15 ml herbal energy shot: guarana and bitter orange, with liquorice, potassium and phenylalanine.
- The most straightforwardly stimulant shot of the four. Reported to last around four hours.
- 375 mg potassium per bottle, offsetting what liquorice does to potassium levels.
- Contains phenylalanine — unsuitable for anyone with PKU.
- Shake, take an hour after eating, drink half first, follow with water.
- Not for anyone with high blood pressure or a heart condition. 18+ only.
- Order before 16:00 on weekdays for same-day dispatch in plain, unmarked packaging.
