1. Baby Hawaiian Woodrose — 10 seeds
Ten seeds of Hawaiian baby woodrose, Argyreia nervosa — a climbing vine in the Convolvulaceae family, the same family as morning glory and Rivea corymbosa. The seeds contain LSA (ergine, or D-lysergic acid amide), a naturally occurring ergoline alkaloid closely related in structure to LSD.
What sets this species apart from its relatives is concentration. Argyreia nervosa carries more LSA per seed than any other plant in the family, which is why reported doses are counted in single seeds rather than in handfuls. Its psychoactivity was only documented in the Western literature in the 1960s, long after the ritual use of related species — Rivea corymbosa (ololiuqui) and Ipomoea among Mesoamerican peoples — was well recorded.
Reported effects are usually described as LSD-like but softer and considerably less visual: mood lift, altered perception of time, introspection, and a strong body component. The body component is the part worth knowing about in advance, and section 3 explains why.
Legal status: The seeds of Argyreia nervosa and Ipomoea species are sold legally in the Netherlands as seed. The alkaloid they contain, LSA (ergine), is a controlled substance in a number of other countries, and in some places the seeds themselves are restricted. Check the law where you live before ordering — we cannot advise on your jurisdiction.

3. Why nausea is the defining feature — and what people do about it
Almost every account of Hawaiian baby woodrose mentions nausea. This is not incidental: the seed coat and the seed material itself contain compounds unrelated to LSA that irritate the stomach, and the traditional preparation methods all exist to reduce that irritation rather than to increase potency.
- Remove the outer coat. The fuzzy brown layer on the seed is where much of the stomach irritation is attributed. Most methods start by scraping or peeling it off.
- Grind the seed finely. Whole seeds pass through largely intact; a coarse grind gives inconsistent results.
- Cold-water soak. The ground material is left in cool mineral water for roughly a day, then strained through a coffee filter, a fine sieve or a stocking. The liquid is used; the solids are discarded. Cold water is used deliberately — heat degrades LSA.
- Drink slowly, on an empty stomach. Accounts describe sipping over twenty to forty minutes with water in between rather than swallowing it all at once.
- Expect it anyway. None of this removes nausea reliably. It reduces it.
Two things are worth stating plainly. There is no established safe dose for this seed — alkaloid content varies between batches, between individual seeds and with storage. And LSA constricts blood vessels, which is why the cautions in the next section single out cardiovascular conditions and pregnancy specifically.
4. Before you use it
4.1 Preparation
- Have a sober sitter present. Someone who stays sober, stays in the room and knows what you have taken.
- Sit or lie down before you start. Do not stand, walk or handle anything.
- Clear the space. No open flames, no stairs, nothing breakable within reach.
- Have a trip stopper to hand. Knowing it is there matters even if you never use it.
- Nothing else alongside it. No alcohol, no cannabis, no other substance.
4.2 Do not use this if
- Not for anyone under 18.
- Not for anyone pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Do not use if you or a close family member has a history of psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder or another serious mental health condition. Psychedelics can precipitate episodes in people predisposed to them.
- Do not use alongside alcohol, cannabis, SSRIs, MAOIs or any prescription medication without medical advice.
- Do not drive or operate machinery for the rest of the day.
- Legality varies widely by country and changes. Check your local law before ordering.
- LSA is a vasoconstrictor — it narrows blood vessels. Do not use it if you have any cardiovascular condition, high blood pressure, or a history of circulatory problems.
- Nausea and vomiting are common. Never take it lying flat and unattended.
The preparation methods that surround this seed are all about the stomach, not about strength. Skipping them does not make the experience stronger — it makes it less pleasant.
- Ten whole seeds of Argyreia nervosa, the highest-LSA member of the Convolvulaceae family.
- Active alkaloid: LSA (ergine), structurally related to LSD but reported as milder and less visual.
- Commonly reported first dose: two to three seeds. Content varies batch to batch — there is no standard dose.
- Nausea is the most consistently reported effect. Cold-water preparation reduces it; nothing removes it.
- A vasoconstrictor — unsuitable for anyone with a cardiovascular condition.
- Legal as seed in the Netherlands; restricted elsewhere. Check your local law. 18+ only.
- Order before 16:00 on weekdays for same-day dispatch in plain, unmarked packaging.
