Zen X is a pack of DNX herbal capsules, positioned around relaxation — the counterpart to the party-oriented variants in the line. DNX positions its X-series as a plant-based smartshop alternative — herbal capsules aimed at a night out. The line is sold on occasion and mood rather than on ingredients.

We have to be straight with you about this product. DNX has not published an ingredient list for it. No plant extracts named, no quantities, no per-capsule content. That is unusual and it is not something we are willing to paper over with atmospheric copy about energy and euphoria. We have asked DNX for the formula and we will put it on this page the moment they supply it. Until then, what follows is what we can honestly tell you.

One more thing worth flagging on this page: this product’s catalogue entry appears to duplicate another in the same range. If you are comparing DNX variants and two of them look identical, that is why — we are clearing it up with the producer and will correct the listing.

Zen X is positioned as the relax corner of a line that is otherwise aimed at nights out. That is a genuinely different brief, and it is the one place where an undisclosed formula matters most:

1. Party formulas are stimulant-based and the permitted ingredient list is short and predictable — caffeine, guarana, taurine, tyrosine. You can make a reasonable guess even without a label.
2. Calming formulas are not. They might be built on GABA, L-theanine and magnesium, which is benign. They might be built on valerian or passionflower, which are sedating and interact with alcohol and sleep medication. They might contain kanna, which is serotonergic and must not go near an antidepressant. Those are three quite different products.
3. So the guess that works for a party capsule does not work here. Without a formula you cannot know which category this falls into.
4. Which makes the medication question unanswerable. If you take anything for mood, anxiety, sleep or migraine, this is a product to leave alone until DNX publishes the ingredients.

• Strictly 18+.
• The ingredients are not disclosed by the manufacturer. That means we cannot tell you what to avoid combining it with, and neither can anyone else. Treat that as a reason for caution rather than a formality.
• Do not combine with medication, other stimulants, energy drinks or coffee.
• Do not take it if you are on an MAO inhibitor — with an undisclosed herbal formula, that is not a risk worth taking.
• Do not use with high or low blood pressure, a heart condition, a thyroid disorder, kidney disease, or if you are being treated for depression or anxiety.
• Not during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Go easy on alcohol.
• Drink water and take breaks if you are dancing. Heat and dehydration are the real risk on a dance floor.
• Do not exceed the stated maximum, and start with one capsule.
• Keep out of reach of children.

For a stimulant you can guess the ingredients. For a calming formula you cannot — GABA, valerian and kanna are three very different products, and only one of them is safe with an antidepressant.
