HappyCaps Relax-E – 4 pieces

1. HappyCaps Relax-E — 4 pieces

Four Relax-E capsules — five stars for relaxation, and the only cap in the range with no stimulant in it at all. No caffeine, no guarana, no synephrine. It is a vitamin and mineral formula built around 400 mg of GABA and 50 mg of L-theanine per dose.

The brief is straightforward: unwinding after a long day, or any point at which you want to put the world on pause. It is the cap you would take on a Sunday rather than a Saturday.

Two capsules is one dose here, and the ingredient quantities on the label are given per dose rather than per capsule — worth noticing, because it is not how the rest of the range is labelled.

3. GABA, L-theanine and magnesium — the three that matter

Twelve ingredients are listed. Three of them account for most of what the formula is trying to do:

  • GABA 400 mg. Gamma-aminobutyric acid is the brain’s principal inhibitory neurotransmitter — the system that quietens neural activity. It is worth being straight about the science here: how much orally taken GABA crosses the blood-brain barrier is genuinely debated in the literature, and studies point in both directions. It is the largest ingredient in this capsule and the least settled one.
  • L-theanine 50 mg. The amino acid found in green tea, and the best-supported ingredient in the formula. It is associated with a relaxed but alert state rather than sedation, which is why it appears in both calming and focus products.
  • Magnesium 150 mg. Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function, normal functioning of the nervous system and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue — three authorised claims, and the most solidly grounded part of the whole capsule.

3.1 And the rest

Calcium, vitamin C, choline, iron, zinc, B6, B12, folic acid and biotin round it out as a general micronutrient base. B6 and B12 contribute to normal psychological function and to the reduction of tiredness; the others are supporting rather than central.

What it is not: a sedative. There is nothing here that will put you to sleep, and nothing that interacts the way a sleeping tablet does. Take it as a wind-down rather than a knock-out.

4. Cautions

  • 18+ only, no exceptions.
  • A food supplement does not replace a varied diet, and the maximum dose on the pack is not a target.
  • Do not stack it with medication, other stimulants, energy drinks or coffee.
  • MAO inhibitors are the one hard no. The combination is dangerous.
  • Not for anyone with a heart condition, high or low blood pressure, thyroid or kidney problems, or under treatment for depression, anxiety or nervousness.
  • Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Alcohol and stimulants together mean you feel less drunk than you are. Adjust accordingly.
  • Overheating, not the capsule, is what puts people in trouble at a club. Water, rest and cool air.
  • Keep away from children.

The only cap in the range with no stimulant in it. Magnesium and L-theanine are the parts with real evidence behind them; GABA is the part that is still argued about.

  • Four capsules — two doses — of a stimulant-free relaxation formula.
  • 400 mg GABA and 50 mg L-theanine per dose, with 150 mg magnesium.
  • Magnesium contributes to normal nervous system function and reduction of tiredness.
  • Whether orally taken GABA reaches the brain is genuinely debated — we would rather say so.
  • Not a sedative and not a sleeping aid. One or two capsules, 45 minutes ahead.
  • Vegetarian capsule. 18+ only.
  • Order before 16:00 on weekdays for same-day dispatch in plain, unmarked packaging.
Will it make me sleepy?
Not in the way a sedative would. It is a wind-down formula rather than a sleep aid, and L-theanine in particular is associated with being relaxed and alert rather than drowsy.
Does oral GABA actually work?
This is genuinely contested. GABA is the brain’s main inhibitory neurotransmitter, but how much of an oral dose crosses the blood-brain barrier is debated and the studies disagree. We would rather tell you that than sell you certainty.
What is L-theanine?
The amino acid in green tea. It is the best-supported calming ingredient in the formula and it shows up in focus products for the same reason.
Is there caffeine in it?
None. This is the only cap in the range with no stimulant at all.
How many capsules is a dose?
Two. The ingredient quantities on this label are given per two capsules, not per capsule — unlike most of the range.
When should I take it?
About 45 minutes before you want the effect. After a long day is the usual case.
