DNX LemonX is a pack of DNX herbal capsules, positioned around energy and partying. DNX positions its X-series as a plant-based smartshop alternative — herbal capsules aimed at a night out. The line is sold on occasion and mood rather than on ingredients.

We have to be straight with you about this product. DNX has not published an ingredient list for it. No plant extracts named, no quantities, no per-capsule content. That is unusual and it is not something we are willing to paper over with atmospheric copy about energy and euphoria. We have asked DNX for the formula and we will put it on this page the moment they supply it. Until then, what follows is what we can honestly tell you.

Plenty of herbal party products give you a full ingredient list with quantities. Some give a list without quantities. This one gives neither, and it is worth knowing how to think about that:

1. Undisclosed is not the same as unsafe. Products in this category are typically built on the same short list of legal botanicals — guarana, caffeine, taurine, tyrosine, maca, B vitamins. There is nothing exotic available to a legal smartshop formula.
2. But it does mean you cannot check for interactions. If you take any medication, an undisclosed formula is one you cannot clear with a pharmacist, because there is nothing to tell them.
3. And you cannot count your caffeine. Almost every product in this category contains some. Without a figure, stacking it with coffee or an energy drink means genuinely not knowing your total.
4. Nor can you avoid something you react to. People who know synephrine gives them palpitations or that they are sensitive to caffeine have no way to check.
5. The practical response is caution rather than avoidance: one capsule, nothing else caffeinated that evening, and not at all if you take anything prescribed.

• Not during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Go easy on alcohol.
• Drink water and take breaks if you are dancing. Heat and dehydration are the real risk on a dance floor.
• Do not exceed the stated maximum, and start with one capsule.
• Keep out of reach of children.
